Abercrombie Residence. USA 1986 -1988.

Work on this building started with the plan of Newfield, but the house is actually based on Roger Morris's design at Marble Hill, Twickenham. The house therefore has a piano nobile, approached on the north and south by imposing staircases and a giant Corinthian order and pediment making a centrepiece. The building is constructed from Minnesota Kasota stone, with Indiana limestone dressings.
